A Headline Year: Looking Back on 2025
2025 was a headline year, thanks to volunteers, donors, and other community leaders. You can check out all the headlines on our blog.
Headlines
- We installed the first metal ramp as part of our temporary ramp services, enabling us to respond to requests from hospice and other urgent needs.
- We implemented Disaster Assistance Program funds to serve families affected by Hurricane Helene.
- We announced and completed a capital campaign to outfit our warehouse.
- We invested in our homeowner services by creating three clear program tracks for homeowners: Critical Home Repairs, Ramps and Decks, and Aging in Place. After filling out one universal application, homeowners will be matched with the program that best fits their needs.
- 716 repairs were completed, the highest number of projects completed in a single year in the organization’s history!
We can’t take all the credit. The people who choose our program are the ones who make it all possible.
Volunteers & Donors Stepped Up!
- 100+ supporters attended the annual Because of You BBQ supporter appreciation event. Staff honored individuals and community organizations with awards during National Volunteer Appreciation Week.
- Donors contributed to our first capital campaign, helping make our warehouse operational.
- Donors decided to commit year-round, growing the number of Porch Partners in our community of recurring donors. Their donations total more than $50,000 annually.
- Volunteers shared their stories, including Fusion + Audio Video, Gilstrap Roofing, and NAI Earle Furman.
- Volunteer Teams raised nearly $70,000 in alignment with their build days – ensuring we can help repair more homes.
Thank you for your support, volunteerism, and prayer as we continue our work in the year ahead.
