Longtime partners from St. Andrews Episcopal Church recently returned to the field with Rebuild Upstate, completing a transformative project for a neighbor in the Greenville community.
Rebuild Upstate relies on the enduring support of faith-based groups like St. Andrews to address the critical needs of low-income homeowners. During this build day, volunteers focused on vital repairs that significantly improved the homeowner’s safety and accessibility. For the members of St. Andrews, the day was defined by the immediate, visible impact of their work; seeing the homeowner’s smile and the joy she found in her improved home made this one of the group’s most meaningful experiences to date.
CEO Jake Beaty says, “We are so grateful for the support of St. Andrews Episcopal Church. When local groups donate their time and sweat equity to help us complete a project, it creates a tangible, lasting impact that resonates far beyond the build day.”
While St. Andrews has a history of serving the community, members of the crew noted that this particular build stood out as their best experience with Rebuild Upstate. The camaraderie of the team, paired with the opportunity to see the direct result of their labor, reinforced their commitment to home preservation and neighborly care.
Nearly half of the repair projects completed by our program last year were sponsored by local businesses or community groups. Most build day sponsors are organizations choosing to invest their time and resources back into the community where they live and worship. These partnerships are the backbone of our mission, allowing us to provide safety and stability to those who need it most.
Each year, thousands of volunteers help us live out our mission. Our generous volunteers perform critical repairs for our neighbors while having fun and sharing hope with each homeowner along the way. We couldn’t do what we do without groups like St. Andrews, and we make it as easy as possible for you or your organization to get involved.
