Rebuild Upstate Receives $100,000 Grant from Greenville Women Giving to Support Critical Home Repairs
May 20th, 2025
Greenville, S.C. — Rebuild Upstate, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving affordable housing through home repairs, has been awarded a $100,000 grant from Greenville Women Giving. The generous two-year investment will help provide critical home repairs for low-income homeowners across Greenville County, particularly seniors, veterans, and individuals living with disabilities.
This funding will directly support Rebuild Upstate’s mission to preserve safe living environments through repairs such as floor replacements, roof repairs, and accessibility improvements such as ramps and walk-in-showers, along with other urgent needs that allow homeowners to remain in their homes.
“We are honored to receive this grant from Greenville Women Giving,” said Jake Beaty, CEO of Rebuild Upstate. “Their support allows us to more fully serve often overlooked families—people who have lived in their homes for decades but now need repairs they can’t afford. This funding will change lives by allowing homeowners to age in place safely and with peace of mind.”
The grant comes at a pivotal time, as the demand for home repair assistance continues to grow in Greenville County and surrounding areas. With this investment, Rebuild Upstate expects to complete 40 additional projects over the next two years, helping ensure that more homes are safe and habitable for those who need it most.
Greenville Women Giving, a philanthropic organization of over 500 members, has granted more than $8 million to local nonprofits since its founding. This year’s grant to Rebuild Upstate reflects the group’s ongoing commitment to supporting community well-being and long-term impact.
