Rebuild Upstate protects local affordable housing options for low-income homeowners. By protecting the home, we protect the homeowner inside it.
Wake Up with Rebuild is a free, awareness-raising event that offers information about our work in the community, ways to get involved including volunteering and contributing to life-changing home repairs.
The event will provide light breakfast, a panel, and a homeowner spotlight.
How does your support make an impact for real homeowners?
Just ask Mark and Rhonda.
Since Rebuild Upstate volunteers built them a ramp, Mark and Rhonda have experienced a sense of freedom. Rhonda says they each have an improved quality-of-life, a feeling of safety in case of emergency, and the ability to exercise.
One of the most important changes for Mark and Rhonda is having the opportunity to relax outside. Rhonda shared that being outside is “inherent in Mark’s nature.” These days, he and Rhonda spend time doing what they love, which involves a lot of time together and a lot of time with their furry companions, Jasmine and Lady Buddy.
Mark and Rhonda represent one family of the one hundred and five served in Greenville County last year.
Wake-Up with Rebuild will be held on September 12, 2019, at The Kroc Center. The morning will begin at 7:30 am.
