To provide a team building experience for your business while enabling your business to get involved in rebuilding, renewing and restoring lives in your community.
Need 8 to 10 volunteers for 8 hours to build a ramp for the elderly, handicapped or impoverished. This allows enough people to get the project done while also ensuring everyone has a role the whole time.
As long as your group members have the physical ability to be outside on a worksite all day, lift a piece of lumber at a time, and have a willing spirit, we teach the rest. We certainly welcome skills and experience, but it is in no way required or expected.
No tools necessary, unless you want to bring yours.
Any age is welcome (children/youth 15 and under must have a parent with them).
Your company will just have to show up for work day, all materials, orientation, etc. will be provided by Rebuild Upstate
You company will have recognition in e-news blast, web page and press release.
We ask each business to make a $1,000 donation to sponsor your Project in a Box workday.
These funds go toward purchasing materials and tools for the project, getting the site planned, and some of our overhead involved in preparing and leading the project.
Rebuild Upstate will give you a design for employees to engage in team building at work to find creative ways to raise the funds.
Many of our companies report back to us that volunteering for a Project in a Box Day is an incredible team building opportunity for their staff. In fact, several team leaders has told us that it was better than a professionally led team building exercise their company paid quite a bit to conduct.
Rebuild Upstate will provide a water bottle for each employee and Rebuild Upstate will send out press releases to various upstate media as well as take a group photo at completion of the project.
